Japan’s Rainy Season has Finally Ended

It seemed to last forever but Japan’s Meteorological Agency officially declared the 2020 rainy season over on August 1. Although the pandemic will dampen much of the summer fun, particularly with the cancelation of traditional festivals, sporting events and the fabulous fireworks displays, I am looking forward to the summer season.

  1. There was a hawk perched on the peak of your old residence at Foreside Commons yesterday. He was feasting on a rodent whilst his mate was waiting anxiously on top of the chimney next door.

    • A hawk and a rodent?! I have not been in touch with my former neighbors or the Chinese family that moved in. Your interesting note reminds me to connect with them.
